Gecko MMS began as Just Glass, a highly successful national glazing business. After four years of exponential growth, Just Glass expanded to become Gecko Maintenance Management Systems (MMS) in 2000, encompassing all trade services and aspects of facilities management.
Gecko MMS continued to grow, appointed by Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) and United Group Services (now C&W) as a preferred service provider not long after formation.
Major government contracts with the Department of Immigration and Border Protection, the Department of Human Services and the Australian Skills Quality Authority soon followed.
Gecko MMS has also undertaken contracts for the private sector, including dairy producer Fonterra, Westpac, Australia Post, Programmed Facilities Management, Telstra and more.
Gecko MMS uses an integrated management information system called PostCode. PostCode has been completely developed in-house as a web-based information platform, and a natural continuation of our services. PostCode is tailored specifically to meet our clients’ requirements, and is a value-add to our comprehensive facilities management solution.
As a specialist facilities and asset management provider, Gecko MMS has proven experience in managing complex projects that span Australia. The Gecko MMS network of preferred service agents incorporates over 8,500 businesses with a nationwide reach, and upwards of 25,000 pre-qualified personnel ready to deploy at any time.
Today, Gecko’s corporate support functions are located in our regional Queensland headquarters, Canberra, Brisbane and Melbourne with operational personnel available nationwide. We also have offices in Sydney, Perth, Hobart and Melbourne.
