Gecko MMS was engaged by Jones Lang LaSalle (ACT) to deliver the rebranding of the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP). This included the rebranding of all DIBP offices and stations located at international airports and ports including all legislative signage for inbound and outbound passengers and goods. The rebranding was coordinated over one night across the East Coast of Australia. The Gecko team appointed was led by Bob Durie who displayed outstanding initiative in managing internal and external stakeholder’s expectations under enormous pressure led by budgets and an extremely tight timeframe. The key drivers for DIBP was to ensure that they were compliant with relevant legislation from 12.00am 1 July 2015. Access to commence removal and installation of new signage was restricted to out of hours and high levels of security. Bob demonstrated excellent leadership qualities delivering all aspects of the works. He dealt with all levels of contractors and suppliers ensuring the highest standards in delivering the project within an extremely tight time frame and budget. Gecko MMS not only ensured they meet our expectations, but they exceeded them. Gecko have also been engaged for other projects including the demolition and make good of high frequency radio masts and towers in remote locations in Australia.
I have been working on behalf of Gecko MMS for over 10 years and over those years, have maintained a great rapport with the staff and have always found them to be professional, helpful and friendly. If I have any issues with works or need approval or direction in handling situations that may have arisen on a job site, Gecko MMS converse well and have always made certain that I’ve been informed of procedures and expectations.
I have found the staff at the call centre to be extremely well trained and efficient, They are available to offer advice and will go to great lengths to resolve any issues that may arise. During the recent Queensland Flood and Cyclone Disasters Jones Lang LaSalle’s Government Accounts Team worked closely with Gecko MMS with pre event preparation and post event clean up. The support provided to our team from Gecko MMS was second to none and the advice and services provided ensured that our clients were able to get a number of their key sites up and running within 48 hours after the events.
The responsiveness demonstrated by Gecko MMS was exemplary and they were able to coordinate resources and equipment with little notice.
The scope of services Gecko MMS was able to offer during the preparation and recovery was enormous and provided us with the convenience of a ‘One Stop Shop’.

Since 2005, Gecko has played a significant role in assisting service the large, dispersed Commonwealth Government property portfolios that JLL has contracted management responsibility for. Their ability to consistently meet the demands of this portfolio, covering over 1,400 sites, in some of the most remote parts of Australia, is nothing short of impressive.
A lot people and businesses lay claim to the “can-do” attitude, but from my own experience, Bob and his team are one of the few that have actually earned it. Gecko is a small yet innovative company that deserves recognition for its achievements.
For over 25 years I have worked with some of Australia’s largest property and facilities management providers and from what I see Gecko is quite simply, a small regionally based business that operates systems and processes with protocols in place that are in line with

As a supplier to Gecko, my own dealings with Bob and the various members of his team are always positive in every respect and I am treated with utmost courtesy and professionalism. Gecko’s payment processes are prompt and I have never had any issues with delays or errors. I understand that this how Gecko deals with all of its suppliers.
Gecko have been excellent at organising preventative maintenance schedules for our more remote sites in areas such as Biloela and Charleville as well as organising schedules for more rural towns. All reactive works are met within the time-frame set out or extended whenever required but have never been overdue. Because of their vast experience and knowledge we will start to be broadening the geographical area that they cover. One of their biggest assets for us is in the level of communication from their staff that is very professional and has the “No task is too small or complex” attitude. We are sent regular updates through their automated system making it easier to track the work order logged from start to finish which also includes a comprehensive quote processes as well. We have had a good working relationship with Gecko over the past few years and hope that it may last for many years to come.
