  • Gecko MMS was engaged by Jones Lang LaSalle (ACT) to deliver the rebranding of the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP).  This included the rebranding of all DIBP offices and stations located at international airports and ports including all legislative signage for inbound and outbound passengers and goods.  The rebranding was coordinated over one night across the East Coast of Australia.  The Gecko team appointed was led by Bob Durie who displayed outstanding initiative in managing internal and external stakeholder’s expectations under enormous pressure led by budgets and an extremely tight timeframe.  The key drivers for DIBP was to ensure that they were compliant with relevant legislation from 12.00am 1 July 2015.  Access to commence removal and installation of new signage was restricted to out of hours and high levels of security. Bob demonstrated excellent leadership qualities delivering all aspects of the works. He dealt with all levels of contractors and suppliers ensuring the highest standards in delivering the project within an extremely tight time frame and budget. Gecko MMS not only ensured they meet our expectations, but they exceeded them. Gecko have also been engaged for other projects including the demolition and make good of high frequency radio masts and towers in remote locations in Australia.

  • Gecko have been excellent at organising preventative maintenance schedules for our more remote sites in areas such as Biloela and Charleville as well as organising schedules for more rural towns. All reactive works are met within the time-frame set out or extended whenever required but have never been overdue. Because of their vast experience and knowledge we will start to be broadening the geographical area that they cover. One of their biggest assets for us is in the level of communication from their staff that is very professional and has the “No task is too small or complex” attitude. We are sent regular updates through their automated system making it easier to track the work order logged from start to finish which also includes a comprehensive quote processes as well. We have had a good working relationship with Gecko over the past few years and hope that it may last for many years to come.
